Sun, stone and shadows

Well .. there's atleast one thing good about the scorching sun .. we get to play with shadows :)

Potpourri had a similar post sometime back.

Nice contrasts. But I donot agree with "scorching sun" liking. Early morning or late evening would have got longer shadows and soft colours
But I donto wake up so early most of the times, so I take most land scapes at "wrong" times :)

Shadow and reflections are my favorite issues to experiment with.

Hmmm... A little cropping at the bottom would have been nice. Personally, I would prefer only the brick pattern in the picture leaving out the wall and the grass. That would keep the focus on the brick pattern and the reflection.

Your comment spamming seems to be on the increase. Maybe you can experiment with blocking anonymous comments. That should help I think.

Nice brick walkway, but would be nice if the shadow was longer, try taking it later/earlier in the day.

How about sunburn? ;)

Strong, strong shadows from the rails! Looks like the wall is worthy of some shots.

some very interesting observations n suggestions. thanks p'ple!
srikanth, kaleidoscpe, daytime or evening would've been better for the shadows and also tones.. i had a tough time getting a good pic with so much glare.
suyog, i left the green just to add a different color to it.
sriram .. irukara kari oda innum thevaya :)
rock .. yeah, u wud've had a whole 'wall' series from that .. i just dont have an artistic-enough eye as yet i guess .. the shadows 'over-shadowed' the wall :)

I like it.

thanks Sudu!
